Al-Anon: 61 Great Dover St., London. SE1 4YF. Tel. 0171-403-0888. Fellowship for relatives and friends of problem drinkers. Currently has over 850 groups in the U.K. Members meet in confidence, share experiences and learn how to cope with the problems which arise whether the drinker is still drinking or in recovery. Al-Anon produce a number of booklets, leaflets, self-help books, etc..

Al-Ateen: 61 Great Dover St., London. SE1 4YF. Tel. 0171-403-0888. Similar to Al-Anon though provides assistance to teenagers who have a parent or another close relative with a drink problem.

Alcohol Information / Advice Centres: Provide telephone advice and individual counselling / support to friends and families of problem drinkers. Can offer joint therapy sessions for both problem drinkers and their partners / etc.
